There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent;&#10;

He serves without servility, has fought without enmity.&#10;

friendship without envy, or beauty without vanity?&#10;&#10;

The world’s past has been borne on his back.&#10;

The horse

nothing as quick, nothing more patient.&#10;

We are his heirs;

by gentleness confined.

Here, where grace is laced with muscle, and strength&#10;&#10;

can man find nobility without pride,

he is our inheritance.
